Mira stood outside the room where General Larkin had told her to go with Lucas. They were patiently waiting for General Larkin to call them in. It was about the mission he was planning, and he held a meeting to let everyone know.
"General Caesar Larkin said you could come inside," a guard said. Mira and Lucas thanked him and entered the room. She glanced at her mentor and slightly bowed her head.
"Mira, you can sit here," Charlotte said, pointing to the empty chair next to her. Mira smiled and thanked her while she sat on the chair. Lucas sat next to her and adjusted his clothes.
"Are you also going to be part of the team?" Mira whispered to Charlotte, who, in return, shook her head as an answer.
"Nah, not this time. I'm here because I will be the one explaining everything," she said.
