"Are you okay?" Alex asked for the umpteenth time as we had breakfast. l was shaking internally, but l didn't want to scare Renee. We were still in this house and l just felt uncomfortable being here.
"I'm fine." l lied. Who would be fine after such a scare? What's worse is that the Pack is supposed to be the safest place, but someone managed to musk their scent and come to my room.
"You're safe now." Brian tried to reassure me, but l internally scoffed and Alex raised his eyebrows at me knowingly.
