Chapter 56

1044 Words

I left my sleeping mate in bed early in the morning just to go to the pack house and catch up on my duties. Most of the work was done though, which made me proud of Emelia for carrying out her duties and mine as well. "Show me in on what I've missed so far." I asked Liam. "The royal council wants you to take over the throne." I am honestly not surprised to hear that. In fact, I've been anticipating it. The royal council must go in order to bring real change to the people, and I can't get rid of them if I'm not the King. I am tired of a group of old people with old traditions, techniques, and ways trying to dictate how everybody must behave. I'm going to destroy them from the inside, and when I'm done with them, they won't know what hit them because they are just as guilty as the king.
