Delaying the war was going to be a very bad idea, especially because Andrew was already alert. It was in our best interests to act as soon as possible.
We spent the whole day discussing the details and how we'd conduct the war. We ended up agreeing to attack tonight.
Emilia and Brian were physically available, but emotionally, I know that they were thinking about their mother's funeral. Also, I don't let them leave the royal pack because of their safety.
l hate the uncertainty that comes with a war because you don't know what to expect, but I am confident about this one.
l didn't want to say goodbye to Emilia because it would mean that I was not coming back, and I didn't think I could handle seeing her cry.
When the time came, l made sure that she didn't see me leave.
