Today was crazy for some reason. The Jelly Bean was packed and Jace was nowhere around. His new boyfriend was taking his whole time and I was covering for him again. There was a huge queue of people who needed their morning coffee before me, and I was running just like a hamster on a wheel.
It did not help that Loki was taking his usual place at the counter and breaking into the queue every time he was running out of cappuccino. He was on his fifth cup. And it was a record even for him.
I let another customer go with his americano when he suddenly stood up again, looking nervously.
“Sky,” he said, and I realised that I had enough.
“Listen, just stay in place or go to the end of the line like everybody else!” I snapped at him, and he obediently took back his seat.
