CHAPTER 30
Loki didn’t even try to hide his reaction as he stormed our way.
“What did you do to her?!” he clenched his fists as his eyes went from Ren to the necklace on my neck. Then his gaze travelled down every inch of my exposed skin as if he was looking for something.
“What I do to my MATE is none of your business, Loki,” the dragon’s hands wrapped around me possessively and I felt slightly awkward. Not that I owed anything to Loki, but his vow the other day and the promise to protect me seemed sincere. I didn’t know whether he liked me or was interested in the last phoenix known to exist, but this was not how I would prefer to announce that Darren was my mate. They clearly did not have the best of relationship.
“Mate?” Loki looked at me for confirmation and I nodded.
