What the hell? Devon could not have possibly changed his phone number because of what transpired between us in the morning? I glanced over at Joe, wondering what else I was supposed to do now.
“Maybe you should just go and see him. I’ll drive you there and I’ll protect you, I promise,” I sighed, nodding in agreement. Besides what was the harm in facing Devon in what would probably be our last encounter?
