Funerals... I hated them. We all know that death is inevitable, therefore our emotional responses and reactions to it vary dramatically. All my life, I have noticed that death and grief affects people in different ways. There’s no particular way that a person should be feeling, or the amount of time it will take for anyone to adapt to the death and feel more like themselves again. I have since then learnt that it's important to let yourself grieve in your own way or your own language. This could include spending time on your own as part of coming to terms with the death of that loved one, but I have also learnt first hand that it's also good to talk to others and draw on their support so that you won't go crazy.
