After a long evening of going through boxes and boxes of documents for my father, Greyson and I were finally back at the hotel. I had mindlinked her a few times to make sure that she was resting, and she ate something. I knew I had made a mistake not having Kailen here. If anyone can figure this mess out, it’s her.
Before we carried the boxes in, I texted Zach to let him know we were back and to unlock the deadbolt on the door. I made sure that he locked it. If Emily could get in, then anyone could and I didn’t need Kailen getting hurt. I would have mindlinked Kailen, but I could feel that she was sleeping.
