Penelope's POV
'I can't run anymore. I surrender.' I mind link to Sky and Dexton who are leading the race. I am feeling so tired and this isn't me. My wolf slumps down beside the tree.
I have started the race very energetically, with me leading Dexton and Sky where Dexton was deliberately behind me, just to give me the lead. Soon enough, I started to slow down and soon I lagged behind with Sky and Dexton leading. Slowly but gradually I lost my energy and slump down against the tree.
Something is really wrong with me as it has never happened with me that I become so tired after racing. I can feel my bones breaking with my wolf again becoming itchy.
'Penelope, you all good?' Dexton questions once he stops in front of me. I look at his wolf with tired and sad smile on my lips.
