Penelope's POV
I walk quietly behind Dexton feeling quite nervous when we cross the room of Jaxon from where many gross voices are coming out.
I felt hurt hearing the voice, I know that Jaxon must be mating with his mate but that didn't meant that he missed my ceremony and didn't even think of asking forgiveness from me and here he is mating with his mate. This is the moment I realize that I have lost my friend.
Dexton who notices my hesitation to walk past the room places his hand comfortably behind my back and pull me toward his office. I and my wolf both feels quite relax feeling him around me and that we are away from Jaxon.

We both finally reach in his office and I sigh knowing well that tough time of my life is going to start.
