84. The Crash Course

~ Savannah’s POV ~ I don’t really know where I’m going, but all I can do is run. My chest is twisting and aching and I can hardly breathe. I make my way into the woods as I escape the gates as my hands are covering my face and my tears are blurring my eyes. “Savannah, wait!” I hear Harlan calling out, but I’m not stopping. I’m running as fast as I can, as deep into the woods as these high heels will let me. “Ouch!” I yelp as I almost twist my ankle. Letting out a frustrated sigh, I grab the heels and toss them aside. “Savannah, stop!” I can see Harlan gaining on me, so I start running faster. “Stop running!” he yells again. I’m limping as I’m running and I turn back to make sure he’s still far away in the distance, but when I look back, I don’t see anyone. Where’d he go? “Savannah!
