“The pleasure’s all mine,” Carter’s voice suddenly pulls my attention back to him. “I’ve heard so much about you from your dad,”
“A-all good things, I hope,” I say, smiling politely.
I’m trying to act normal here, but there’s something about the way Harlan and Logan are staring at me that’s making me nervous.
But why should I be nervous? I’m not doing anything wrong here. I’m just politely talking to a man… who my wolf thinks is also my mate…?
“He mentioned that you just graduated and you’re going to the University of Vermont soon?” Carter says again. “Congratulations, by the way. UVM is a great school,”
