  Liora’s POV   The air in the room seemed to thicken after Rowan’s blunt dismissal. My pulse thundered, but my face stayed still, controlled. If he thought one cutting remark would send me reeling, he underestimated me.   I steadied my breath and folded my hands, nails pressing lightly against my palm. “If you think it’s a mess,” I said evenly, “then show me.
