  Liora’s POV   The next morning started with a notification from Mirabel. I got out and let out a groan before opening my phone to check the message she had seng.   [Mirabel]: Proposal revised and submitted. ME just got back — they’ve agreed in principle. But there’s a condition. They want you present when the signing happens.   I stared at the screen, groggy from too little sleep. My body still carried traces of last night, llips that tingled when I touched them, nerves that sparked every time I remembered his breath against my skin.   Of course. Of course it wasn’t over.   ME Group wouldn’t sign unless I was there in person. That meant Rowan. That meant his office, his eyes, his unbearable ability to read me like an open book.   I typed back quickly: Fine. I’ll clear my schedule.
