This venue was overcrowded, too many spectators, as well as invited guests crowded outside the doors, waiting for Mum and Dad to cut the ribbon, and then as soon as they had cut the ribbon, an overwhelming sea of people surged forward with a loud cheer and the security guards were overwhelmed with people trying to get in.
Because of the number of people who had turned out for this grand opening, the crowd was almost impossible to control. I felt that the organizer had underestimated how many people would come, and our team was just not able to do anything, there were just a few of them.
