Sending Emma away wasn't something that I wanted to do. But it had to happen because there was no way I would allow her to stay here when I didn't know what would take place during the war.
Dr. Harris, Silas, Nathan, and Samuel all decided to stay and fight. I ordered them to leave, but because of their loyalty to me, they decided that it was best to stay.
Well, I didn't know Silas like that, but during the short time that he was here, we had gotten pretty close. He was someone that I could trust, and since he was Dr. Harris's mentor, he also wanted to remain here to see to it that he was safe.
I was now preparing with everyone for the war. Gathering weapons, strategizing battle formations, and reinforcing our defenses. Everyone was tensed, which was expected.
