I woke up covered in cold sweat. My heart was beating fast as I tried to get control of my breathing. It took me a while to recall what had happened, but nothing seemed to make any sense.
I had flashbacks here and there about Emma being my mate. But I wasn't sure if it was real. My mind was consumed by Lauren's image making it hard for me to focus.
It showed me that she was my mate and the Luna of this pack. But somehow it felt too good to be true.
Noticing that I was alone now, I got up and made my way out of the room after I sent a mind link to Dr. Harris. I had to get to the bottom of this and he was the perfect one to help me.
After all, he did tell me what had happened to me before when I lost consciousness. So, he had to know what was going on.
