James POV:
Now that we have made our plans for tomorrow, we are leaving. Rati is excited as well as Renee. Me, on the other hand, is a little worried. Some of these councilmen I know will not want to give up their power. If you asked me for what I studied, the council had too much power when the royals were in power. Michael and I will not be kings by blood or any other right, so we are not a threat to the council. But Rati has every right to be Queen.
“What are you thinking about?”, Michael asked.
“I am thinking about the dangers our mate will face, once we get to the capital”, I said, worried.
“She will be fine. Besides, she has us to protect her”, Michael said.
“How are you not freaking out?”, I asked.
“I am, Eos is as well. But if I show it, she will be afraid as well”, Mic
