[Mason]
After I had that weird dream, I could barely sleep, I stayed awake the rest of the night thinking of my mate and hoping that she was safe, she was too far away for me to mind link her, but I could feel her, I would always be able to feel her no matter how far apart we were, as long as she was still breathing then I would be able to feel her and that's how wolves can track their mate down.
The fire Zefa lit lasted the entire night and when day came I knew exactly what she meant, it wasn't still bright but it was warmer and less darker than the night.
Also they had stars during the day, crazy right?
It wasn't exactly stars, it was just a big star that was in the place of a sun in the regular dimension.
"It's day." Zefa came back to where we slept and she woke Sirius up because I was already awake.
"It's beautiful." I told her and chuckled when Sirius almost fought her off.
It took a while for him to register where he was then he got up and apologized for his behavior, she just shrugged and laughed it off.
"It is, you didn't sleep well?" She looked at me strangely.
"Yeah, I had a strange dream." I told her, I was already feeling that I could trust Zefa in the few, I didn't know what to call it, days, hours, I didn't know, time was weird here.
"What?" Sirius asked her seriously when she still kept staring at me.
"I don't know, something strange is going on with him, outsiders can't dream here because it is not their realm and witches only have visions and not dreams, I also sense a powerful dark magic around him, one that I didn't sense before." She responded touching my temple with two fingers.
Her fingers were cold on my warm skin and I just stood there confused while she mumbled some strange words.
"What is it?" Sirius asked her impatiently when she withdrew her fingers.
"Somebody is trying to get inside his mind, I just put up defenses to prevent that from happening." She explained.
"Thank you, but do you know who and why?" I asked her.
"I don't have all the answers in the world so no, I don't know who and I don't know why, we've already wasted ample time, let's get going." She told us and began to walk ahead of us.
We continued our journey silently, Zefa walked ahead while Sirius and I trailed behind her.
"How do you feel visiting your relatives for the first time?" I broke the uncomfortable silence and asked Sirius.
"I don't know." He sighed. "They don't see me as their family, I'm just here on business, to find out how to protect my mate, my family and my people from external attacks."
"Yes, that's all that matters." I tapped him softly on the shoulder and then I turned quiet.

"We're here." Zefa announced and we hurriedly waked to where she was.
"This is the coven of the blackners." She said and we walked together down the hill we were on.
The Blackners lived like campers, there were different tents pitched in different areas, there was a central bonfire and there were lots of people, there was hardly any building except a tall tower that I supposed contained ancient relics and other important historical artifacts.
The Blackners did not have a king, an Alpha or a ruler, they had some sort of leader called a Priest and his partner called a Sorceress, they were being the revered because they were the most powerful and maybe the oldest of the Blackners clan.
When we got to the border of the blackners, there were two guards guarding the border.
"We seek entrance." Zefa said to them and they raised their heads.
Their eyes were completely black and somehow they were glowing.
"What is the purpose of your visit." One of them asked and stretched his hand out to Zefa.
"We come in peace, we've come to talk to the Priest and Sorcerer." She said and stretched her hand to the man.
The man grabbed her hand and there was a spark of energy of some sort, then he nodded to his other guard.
"Come forward." He said to me and Sirius, I went first and he nodded his head after touching my hand the same way he did to Zefa.
When it was Sirius' turn, he hesitated and I guessed it was because he knew that the guard would find out who he truly was.
"You're mother Sella's bloodline." The man said frowning at him. "He's mother Sella's bloodline." He said again to the other guard and they both started speaking a strange language.
Zefa seemed to be doing an intervention because she too began to speak the same language.
They happened to be arguing but after a while the guards made way for us to go in, just before we entered, they lifted the magical barrier that was protecting the coven and we got in.
"Welcome, Zefa." Two witches came to our side when we entered and they showed us to the palace or the camp of the Priest.
"Berandim Selote Aki." Zefa spoke in the strange tongue to the Priest when we got inside his camp and he stared at us strangely.
"The son of my sister's child." He said and pointed to Sirius. "Come closer."
I watched as Sirius made his way to the elder man, we were given sits and we sat down and watched Sirius' exchange with the Priest.
"I'm here on behalf of the wolf pack." Sirius said and refused the man's offer to move closer.
"You have no powers." The man said looking at him strangely.
"Like I said, I'm here on behalf of the wolf pack and that is my Alpha sitting over there." He said and pointed to me.
Zefa stared at him and a silent message passed between them both, she was happy that Sirius had listened to her and was not trying to use his affiliation with the witches to get favors from them.
"You know, you're the rightful heir to this throne." The priest said and lifted the scepter that was in his hand.
It was a black long scepter, it looked like it was made of a very dark metal, the top was the head of a crow and the eyes of the metal bird glowed brightly.
I didn't even know that this was a throne until the Priest mentioned it, so apparently he was the leader of the Blackners coven.
"I have no intention of ruling the witches, I am barely a witch myself, I'm here because some witches are attacking the wolves and I have to find answers so that I can protect the pack."Sirius told the man.
"Welcome home, Sirius." A beautiful woman came out from another room and smiled lovingly at Sirius.
"Your mother was my cousin and we were pretty close until she died." The woman said and Sirius looked at her in shock.

[Sirius]
I didn't know what I thought about my mother's half side of the family.
My relationship with the witches first started after Cyprus rejected me, I had been so broken and I didn't have the zeal to live anymore.
I never told anyone about it, not even my best friend Mason's father who was my Alpha at the time.
I remember that I was about to kill myself, I drank myself to near death and then I decided to jump off a cliff and end it all, I remember jumping off but I did not remember ever landing.
When I woke up, I woke up in a strange house and that was where I met Zefa for the first time and the old witch who helped me to put a barrier so that Cyrus would never be able to come near me again.
Prior to that, I didn't know of my mother's heritage because she had already been dead for a long while, Zefa and the old witch told me that I was part witch and Zefa told me that we were cousins.
They made me feel welcome and they helped me through my tough time, they told me that the witch bloodline was dominant in me so I would not have powers and I would not be able to cast spells except if I were to use dark magic or carry out blood sacrifices both of which I was unwilling to do and am still unwilling to do.
I was happy being a wolf with witch ancestry.
I never told anyone because of exactly how weird it all sounds and I wouldn't have said anything about it if the goddess hadn't brought witches to our paths.
It is unclear why the two night creatures are so hostile to one another, then again all of the night creatures were hostile to one another, from wolves to vampires to witches and others.
I never thought I would ever visit the blackners but here I was, I needed their help, the wolves needed their help and I hoped they would be able to give us the information we needed.
The Priest was giving me a hard time knowingly, he knew everything about me, I was sure and he knew that I was not a threat to his position in anyway but he was just trying to upset me or rile me up in some way.
When the woman came out my breath caught in my throat, she looked identical to my mother and she said she was my aunt.
"Why do you look so much like my mother?" I asked her when I could finally speak.
"Oh, I don't look like your mother, it's my powers, I'm an enchantress meaning you see what you want to see, only a few can see my true looks, your mother was one." She said and I visibly relaxed.
These witches and their weird powers.
"The boy is here to take his rightful place." The Priest stood up from his seat and pulled her closer to him, apparently she was his partner or mate, I didn't know what witches called it.
"I'm not here to do that." I snapped.
He must have gotten the reaction he wanted because he smiled.
"You are really the descendant of mother Sella's bloodline." He said and moved to tap me on the shoulder.
"I apologize on his behalf, he's a bit slow and primitive." The woman said and gave me a hug.
"His name is Zora and I'm Zilla." She whispered in my ear.
"Thank you very much." I thanked them and smiled.
"You'll be staying in this palace quarters." He said and he snapped his fingers.
I was shocked to see the whole place transformed.
Instead of an ugly looking camp, it was a magnificent palace with gold and silver adornments and lovely designs on the walls, the floor was made entirely of marble.
"Wow." I heard Mason exclaim behind me.
"That was camouflage magic, we do it to keep the bad ones away." Zora said.
His clothes also changed, he was still clad in an all black robe, but it had good edges and it was more elegant than the one he had on before.
"Come, I'll show you all to your rooms, you must be tired." Zilla took my hand and let the both of us out of the palace courtyard.
Zefa stayed behind and was having a discussion with Zilla, she was a blackner so I did not fear that anything would happen to her.
"Do you know of any clan that would want to exterminate the wolves." I asked Zilla while she was showing us to our rooms.
"I can name a few, but I'm not certain, I looked into your case when Zefa informed us and I think it's more than a night creature war, it feels like a vendetta of some sort and only sole of the extremist among the witches would be able to do that, sadly I can't give you much information about them because the blackners don't support the use of dark magic so we don't have any communication with them." She explained.
Vendetta?
