“He started walking towards me. I squeezed my eyes shut and started praying and hoping that it was all just a dream, a very bad dream.
But that wasn't what it was. It was reality.
I could feel him hovering over me at one point. Like an eagle about to catch its prey. I felt so helpless, so... So weak.
Then out of no where Lexi charged into the room with a butchers knife in her hand.
I saw the glint of the barrel in the moonlight, before I heard he gunshot... Before I felt the pain in my chest... Before Lexi's lifeless body was lying on top of me.
I started choking...
I must've lost consciousness, because the next thing I knew was that I was in a strange place.
My eyelids felt heavy. When I opened them the light was bright and it was hard to breath.
“Hang on. You'll survive this.”
The woman I saw held my face and I felt my eyelids flutter closed and a pain started racking through my body.
The lights were flashing now. Bright. Gone. Bright. Gone. It was the only thing I could make out through my closed eyelids.
I could feel a stinging in the back of my head and I had no feeling in my arm. There was something heavy pressing onto my chest and it felt like I couldn't breathe.
The taste of blood lingered in my mouth and I felt like throwing up. I couldn't remember anything...
That was until I saw Will rushing into my hospital room once I had came out of surgery.
Everything came rushing back to me. I went into cardiac arrest... Like any sane person would... But it was worse for me...
When Lexi died and she fell on me, she stabbed me, which resulted in her practically killing me. She punctured my lung and that was why I started choking... But she scraped my heart..."
I wiped away another one of the tears that were running down my cheeks and Liam squeezed my hand in an attempt to comfort me.
“Liv? You know that you don't have to do this, right? As a matter of fact, I don’t want to hear another word. There’s no point in watching you torturing yourself for something that could have happened to literally anyone.”
I opened my mouth, ready with a protest, but his fingers brushed over my lips and I became aware of his breath tickling the sensitive skin on my neck. I did my best to ignore the shivers that shook my body, despite the blanket that covered me and the heat in the room.
“But Liam, you don't understand-”
I felt myself gasp as I felt my body pushed down and I felt his body pressing against mine, his arms supporting most of his weight. His breath tickled my face and I unconsciously tensed as my breathing quickened in anticipation of the inevitable.
Did he make everyone feel this way? Or did he just make me feel this way?
“Just in case you didn't hear me… I don't want to hear another word. Unless it’s my name you’re moaning.”
His voice had a husky edge to it and sounded strained and breathless all at once. I was avoiding his eyes, looking at the tattoos that spiraled across his chest and arms.
“Olivia… Look at me.”
His voice was nothing more than a whisper in my ear and I squeezed my eyes shut as I shook my head.
I felt the moist warmth of his tongue on my earlobe and I gasped as he tugged on it with his teeth. My hands settled themselves on his waist on their own accord and I squeezed my eyes shut as he started trailing wet kisses down the length of my neck. I let out a rather loud moan as my back arched when he found my sweet spot.
Even through the haze of pleasure that had wrapped itself around me, I could feel his smirk against my neck. It lasted barely a nanosecond before a coldness wrapped itself around my body as he stood up and walked out of my room as if he wasn't meant to be here.
As if everything that had just happened didn't happen.
What the actual hell just happened?
