I sighed as I walked out of my bio class. I was tired to say the least. I noticed Jackie disappear into the music class and I decided to go pay her a visit.
I walked in and closed the door behind me and Jackie looked up at me and smiled.
“Hey, Liv.”
She greeted cheerily and smiled and I returned it.
“Come join us for lunch?”
I asked and Jackie frowned. It didn't seem like she was going to say yes, because she kept looking from me to her phone.
“Please? We aren't bitches if that's what you're thinking...”
I stated as I smiled at her. She scowled at me, but I could she her lips twitching.
“Ugh, fine.”
She grumbled and I smiled as we started walking towards my locker. Bless my wonderful soul and this school that it was practically right across the cafeteria.
“So, Jackie. You seem like the quite type.”
I stated and she smiled with her eyebrows raised.
“The quite type is the one thing I'm not. I have friends with every stereotypical group in the school.”
She informed as we stopped at my locker and I got out my purse and put my books away.
“You know the school has the lunch card option, right?”
She stated and I nodded as we started walking again.
“I know, but I only eat certain things since my Mum is a health freak. The food on the lunch card almost gave her a panic attack-no joke.”
She laughed and I smiled. Jackie was a likable person. She seemed so carefree and happy and she is probably the nicest person I've met here.
When we walked into the cafeteria, it silenced slightly, but most people were over the initial gossiping that my arrival brought.
I waved at Sasha and Tasha and I wondered where Michelle was. My questions were answered when I saw her in the lunch line.
We fell in line and Jackie started picking out her food and I did the same.
I got a toasted ham and cheese sandwich with a bottle of strawberry flavoured water and a small fruit bowl. I also grabbed a bar of chocolate.
We stayed in line and as I paid, I popped a grape into my mouth and when Jackie was done paying, we went to go sit down by the girls.
I mentally groaned when I saw that Liam and his friends were already sitting at our table and I glared at him, but I felt my face heat up when he winked at me.
I sat down and Liam pulled my chair closer to his and Cole got up and gave Jackie his chair as he set out to go and find a new one.
“So, anything interesting happen today?”
Michelle asked and I shook my head as I started eating my sandwich.
“Olivia fell.”
I smacked Liam viciously on his chest with a backhand and he flinched since I knocked his breath out.
The guys started laughing and so did the girls. But the guys were trying to say something between there laughs.
Damien calmed down first and spoke.
“Looks like you got yourself a kinky one.”
And just like that everyone burst into laughter again. I glared at Liam and he just shrugged as he started eating his ridiculously unhealthy food.
It was a bag of Doritos, two cokes, three pizza slices and four different bars of chocolate. I felt a chill go down my spine at the thought of how much fat those foods caused.
“What?”
He asked as he looked down at his food. I didn't answer him so he looked up at me and then down at my food and back to his.
A smirk spread across his face and I cautiously pushed my chair back. I knew he was planning something-something that I wouldn't like.
“Are you afraid of calories?”
He asked and I shook my head at him. I wasn't afraid of calories. I was afraid of all the germs and how oily all that food was how many pimples it would cause.
“No.”
I answered simply as I started eating my chocolate to prove a point.
He smirked and before I knew it he grabbed my chocolate and started walking away with it.
“Hey!”
I scolded him as I stood up and started jogging to his moving form. He was about 6'4", while I was at the miniature height of 5'5"-that is why he had a terrible upper hand when he lifted his arm and put my chocolate out of my reach.
I raised my eyebrow at him and he did the same. I started tapping my foot in a slow rhythm. It caused his eyes to dart down to my feet and I started tapping slightly faster, but it was almost unnoticeable.
I could tell that people were starring at us, but that didn’t bother me. He just shrugged and I watched in horror as he took a bite from my chocolate. I thought he was going to give it back.
I got ready to snap at him when I remembered something. I smiled at him and turned around.
I walked over to his tray and picked up his chocolates. I watched as his smug expression disappeared.
He started walking towards me in the way that predators walk to their prey. I started moving away slowly but surely. There was a glint in his eyes that scared me, yet thrilled me.
I could tell that people were starring at us, but I didn't mind at the moment. I was having fun.
He darted towards me and I squealed as I turned around to run, but Will was standing behind me with an angry expression.
I gave him a blank expression and I felt a presence behind me and Liam, Caleb, Damien and Cole were standing behind me. They looked like they could do some major damage together.
“Come on.”
Will grabbed my arm to pull me away but I ripped my arm out of his grasp.
“Why?”
I asked and I saw his nostrils flare.
“You know why. I don't want you hanging around with him.”
He sent a glare towards Liam and I huffed as I gave a humurless laugh.
“You have the nerve to tell me to stay away from him? Just because he used to have a fling with your girlfriend? Who do you think you are?”
I sneered and I turned towards the guys and gave Liam his chocolate bars back.
“Liam? Can I get a ride home with you today?”
I asked and Will took a step towards me, but Damien and Cole blocked his way.
“You're making a mistake, Olivia. What would Mum say about this? And Dad?”
He asked and I smiled a tight smile at him. He knew my parents wouldn't say anything, because Liam is basically the untouchable Bad Boy-I've heard the rumors.
“Mum wouldn’t say anything, because that is the one aspect in my life she doesn't control and Dad knows better than to go against me. He at least lets me be happy. It's much more than you are doing right now...”
I pushed past Liam and walked over to our table. As soon as I had my things in hand, I started making my way out the cafeteria.
The girls were all following me and the guys were still up in one another’s faces. I could feel my blood boiling.
In a matter of a week, my brother had changed from a childish, lovable and protective person into a control freak. Who the f**k did he think he was?
I walked up to my locker and I took deep breaths to calm myself. I opened my locker and reached onto the back and popped a pill into my mouth before I got my necessary books.
Everyone rushed up to me and I smiled at them reassuringly but it didn't look like they were buying it. I acted like I didn't notice it.
My phone buzzed and I opened the message.
Will: We will talk about this when we get home.
I ignored the message and put it in my locker where I usually do.
