This was honestly turning out to be one of the best days of my life. It seemed like every time I thought I had seen it all, learned everything there was to know about this supernatural world I now found myself a part of, something else happened to show me that there was more out there that I hadn't yet seen. We had come back from the training fields after an amazing couple of hours getting to shoot actual lasers - underwater, no less - and met with the merfolk soldiers. If someone had told me just a couple of months ago that I would be finding myself surrounded by a couple hundred mermaids and mermen, not to mention Poseidon, Amphitrite, and King Triton, I would've asked them what drugs they were on.
