I was shocked when Alvara said the word centaur. I looked at her with my eyes wide, and saw Jonathan and Chris do the same. The others, having been raised in the supernatural world, didn't seemed shocked at all. In fact, Michael had an annoyed expression on his face.
"Centaurs," he spat. "Pesky creatures. Never trust one of them."
Alvara gave him a sharp warning look. "Just because one of them wronged you, that doesn't mean they're all bad."
He scoffed. "I've never met a centaur I liked."
