I couldn’t believe how strong Chris already was. She literally left everyone in the dust when she raced them. And her senses were already on par with ours, and we’d had ours our entire lives. She tried her physical strength too, and while she was definitely stronger than she’d been before, it was immediately pretty clear that that was something Lilac was still working on. She even told Chris that she’d just begun developing her strength and to give it a few more hours before she tried again.
