I stared at the petite woman standing in front of me. “The queen of the fairies?” I repeated, feeling slightly dumbfounded. From what Alvara had told us, I had expected we might meet some fairies, but I honestly wasn’t expecting to meet the queen of them.
She laughed. “Yes, Prince Jonathan, I am the fairy queen. My mate and king, Valkyries, is also here, but he loves to cook, so he’s in the kitchen. Now, would you mind introducing me to the rest of your group?”
I nodded, finally recovering from the shock. “Oh, yes, my apologies, Your Majesty,” I apologized. She smiled and waved that off as I began the introductions.
