Chapter Thirty Nine – Delivery and Confessions Part Two   As the door opened to the Marini mansion, Eva took a deep breath, Marco’s hand was in hers, as she gasped at the state of the place. Normally this house was pristine, it shone with cleanliness, but it looked like all the maids had been let go along with the gardeners, and her father had failed to pick up a duster, or mop.  The smell from the dirty dishes and mouldy food that sat on the benches of the kitchen was filling the home instead of the smell of floral disinfectant, and Eva felt more and more concerned for her father’s mental health.
