Heather could barely sleep that night. Even as she held onto her little sister, she had nightmares of losing her. The mere thought unsettled her, made her lose her composure and what little self-control she had.
She felt her eyes change to black when she remembered Kevin’s silly reason for kidnapping her Lilly. How dare he take it out on a child when she was the one he wanted to hurt? Why not come after her directly? Why target Lilly?
