It was finally the day I would be discharged from the hospital. The past days had been me recounting my experiences with my father and Lucas. I was ready and the nurse had come to bid me goodbye. I made sure to get her a new phone and also thanked her for lending me her phone.
“Aren’t you going to wait for your husband?” She asked.
