Why did I growl like that?
"What the heck is your problem?" I asked Kyral; he couldn't growl at Aleksi like that because she wanted her mate, which was normal.
"She can't be with a Vila," He growled possessively.
I narrowed my eyes at Kyral, my own growl rising in my throat. "And why the hell not? Care to enlighten me, Kyral? Because your attitude is starting to piss me off. I've asked you at least 5 times if she is our mate, and you told me she isn't."
"I dunno, I simply don't like it," He replied.
"That's not good enough," I snapped, "We can't dictate her life. If we are not her mate, then we should back off."
"Perhaps you are right," Kyral sighed.
I had fallen for Aleksi; I liked how strong she was, how she didn't take bullshit from anyone, not even me, but at the same time.
