If it had been anyone other than Shoe telling me this, I would call them a liar. But Shoe is the only one in this room I trust wholeheartedly. Colton is a close second, but that trust is generated from a bond that I am tentative about putting my confidence in. It physically hurts for me to doubt him or the bond. But even with Malik telling me that the Elders lied about our ability to bond and have children, it goes against everything I have been taught.
However, the bond I feel with Colton is the most fascinating thing in the world, and I am praying to the Goddess that it is true.
