I held the phone to my ear, not really computing what was being said. Marco was going on about how this could work out to our advantage, and regardless of how f****d up Malik was, he won't hurt Breelynn; he needs her.
Then his words settled into my brain, and I thought to myself, there was no way that Breelynn left our territory undetected by our guards, and absolutely no way that Malik stepped onto my lands without our knowledge.
