The next few days...
Time seemed to pass by slowly these last few days. I was healed and felt much better. Strength wise, the doctor approved everything to resume as normal except for shifting. Inside, I still felt like a part of me was missing. I guess that was true though. I wrapped a robe around my body and walked outside to our private balcony. The cool air greeted me as the wind blew, caressing my skin and sending a shiver down my spine. Goosebumps traveled across my arm as I sat down on the little chair. I listened to the birds singing their morning songs as my eyes closed, leaning my head back against the brick wall. I heard the door open and close as Everest walked outside.
"Good morning, my love. Everything okay?" He asked softly, sleep still hanging in his voice.
