I looked at Asher and saw that he was gazing at me again. He didn’t look too thrilled. I didn’t know what his problem was. But… to keep the peace, I simply said, “It’s nice to meet you, future Alpha.”
He didn’t respond. He simply went back to eating his food. I looked over to Eric and saw that he was also looking a little confused by Asher’s reaction. I glanced over at the Alpha, and he was watching me. I didn’t know what to make of the weirdness of the situation, so, deciding I didn’t need to waste any more energy on it. I gave an internal shrug and continued to enjoy my breakfast.
