I could see Jake's eyes flash black, his wolf becoming unhinged as I placed Eleanor on the other side of me protectively. The Beta's and I knew Jake's wolf, Leon, would be out of control when he found his mate because he has always been wild. He only listens to Titus and hates to be told what to do regardless.
Not many know this but Jake and I bonded over the years because of our wolves' similarities. Leon tends to push Jake back, acting irrationally and making decisions without discussing them with him first. That's why Jake never acts with emotion in his human form. He always thinks things through and tries to weigh out all the options before reacting.
