"Hey," a deep voice sounded right next to my ear, and I jolted awake. I looked over to my side to see Damien kneeling beside me, a wicked smile on his face, his eyes glowing, and his canines on view. I let out a small scream and moved away from him, as I looked around to see where Freya was.
"Don't bother searching for her, love. She's not here," Damien said, as he moved closer to me.
"Where is she? Please tell me you've got her checked by a doctor," I said in desperation, as I continued to move away from him. I also could not understand why he was in his half-wolf form, what was the extreme emotion he must have been feeling. He, again, moved closer to me, and now my chains were extended to their maximum, harshly pulling at my ankle and at my wrist.
