Thanatos could feel his body about to give up, but he couldn't let Jasper win. How many hours has it been since the fight started? He was exhausted.

Thanatos snapped back from his thoughts and glanced at where the scream from. Thanatos felt his body froze. He saw Seth holding Santi's unmoving body. With all his might, he broke free from Jasper's throttle, and he rushed to where Santi and Seth were.
Thanatos sniffed the bloodied body of Santi in front of him and howled. It was a long, painful howl that resonated the entire area. He was mourning.
"Brother…"
"He's gone, Than. He's gone," Seth muttered. Thanatos nudged Santi's hand with his muzzle, but he got no response.
