Lilly’s point of view
The video call connected to Mark, and before he could even say hello
“Mark I am really worried about Jake”
I was, like really worried, since going back to school he was not his normal self, something was wrong. He wasn’t telling me, but each day he returned his mood seemed darker.
The only time he smiled now was when we spoke with Mark, the rest of the time he was locking himself in his room, shutting himself off. I had tried to speak with him, but he would not be drawn, just giving me a short answer that he was “Fine” and “don’t worry Mam” which made me worry all the more, for as sure as egg’s are egg’s if your teenager tells you not to worry, then you can bet your last pound there is definitely something to worry about!
