Part Two – Chapter Seventeen
Frozen to the spot, my eyes not leaving that of the coiled serpent, causing me to feel like my insides were shaking, horror of what is happening feeling almost like I was locked in a dream.
“Is it a poisonous one?” I am trying to keep my voice low and the utter fear I was feeling right now from my voice but failing quite miserably.
“No, baby it is a green tree snake, just came for a look out of them bushes, but if you scare him, he will give you a bit of a love bite”
Now why are those words doing little to calm my nervous disposition right now!
“He is beautiful” Jake enthused, as the thing was looking at me as if I am his meal! With big eyes and yeah actually that bright green skin, he kind of was beautiful if he wasn’t curled at my feet!
