Behold the Power

She watched the fire blaze on the barn. It wasn’t the woman’s house, Laurie, Danielle called her. It was a barn just a half a mile from her home. It would be too close for their comfort, but they wouldn’t suspect a thing. Danielle was stupid. When she told her mother of this plan all those years ago, she knew then that Danielle was stupid. And mother was stupid to listen to her. Did they not know what pack they messed with, what the pack was capable of? If Dani had thought things through, she never would have gone for the stupid beta. She should have gone for the Alpha or any alpha, but a Mountain Fall alpha was prime. If she wanted to use them the way that she needed to, she should have gone for someone stronger. Mountain Fall pack members are stronger and more powerful than most, Danielle got that part, but if she really wanted the pack under the Coven control, she should have gone for the alpha. Danielle was stupid. She let her lust for the dumb beta cloud her vision; her goals. But she was not stupid. She was going after the Alpha.

Or at least she was, until she saw that he found his mate. That was the best part of all. If her reading of the woman’s aura was correct, she was something spectacular. Something more than she or her little mate realized. And if she was turned, well then, she’d be magnificent. The power that coursed through her now had yet to be unleashed. And if she was unleashed, well that is something the coven would love to see. She didn’t know at first if she was what she suspected; a Therion. Most people don’t know what a Therion is, other than it being a constellation in the sky, The Beast, as the Greek called it. It was in the Lupus constellation, which is incidentally the Latin word for Wolf. A therion is the most powerful form a wolf could take, not even any of the council were Therion. It was said that they died out, but she deduced that maybe they were dormant, like the little woman that was mated to the Alpha. An unleashed Therion would make a pack unstoppable, would bolster the numbers of those damn dogs beyond what the coven could allow. It would be smart to kill her now, but, if she had her under her control, well that would be just what the coven needed.

See she had a plan for this woman, the powerful alpha, and the potential power of their offspring. If they were under coven control, the coven would be unstoppable. They could kill these dogs once and for all. She had a plan, and the first step was unleashing the little Therion. She was ready to behold her power.
