The car stopped in front of a residential building. Stella bid her goodbye and waited in the car until Dove was gone.
"Let's go home." She told the driver.
The partition between the driver and backseat was pulled up with the press of a single button. Stella slumped sideways on the seat, taking a deep breath.
She was tired.
A stressful afternoon of exams and an outing to the park has drained her mentally and physically.
The five minute drive ended in a flash. Stella grabbed her bag and got out. She felt the weight on her bag and looked down, realising belatedly that she forgot to give her the cookies!
Ugh, whatever.
Stella opened the packet and bit a big chunk of the cookie that was meant for Dove. Well, it wasn't her fault that Dove kept her occupied the whole time.
