It was fun while it lasted

Cali I wake up and I am wrapped in James' arms. I feel so happy and content. This has happened many times before, but we were never naked. This feel just right though, but I can't say that out loud. We made an agreement. "Baby, are you alright?" James asks me. I nod. "I'm fine Jamie." I tell him. "Okay, should we go to your dad's house today?" he asks me, and although I want to say no and stay here, in this little bubble we created, I know it was a one night only type of thing, so we might as well get back to our normal lives and not show that any of this is affecting me. We walk in and Dallas is standing in the kitchen with Tyler. They are whispering to each other, but she gives us her full attention when she sees us. "Hello s3xy sister of mine. Finally, you have arrived. I have been waiting for you for hours. I need to steal you away from your" she looks James up and down. "Best friend. I have a place I need to show you." she tells me. She probably wants to show me any updates done to her and Austyn's new house. I am sure she has a huge group working on it and they will probably be done soon. "Well, lets go. Dad is looking for you James, he said to meet him out back for some guy time." she says. Tyler throws his arm over her shoulder and they walk towards the door. I turn to James. "I am not sure if I should be worried or not. Dallas tends to get us into some crazy things, but I'll see you later." I tell him. He nods and gives me a hug and a kiss on my head. "I Love you. Call me if you need me," he says. I smile. "Bye" I say and walk out the front door. Butterflies going crazy in my stomach. Dallas talks her little pretty mouth off. Telling me her newest project, how she needs Virginia and I to fly to Miami to film a music video to a new song she is dropping. It's going to be a girls only video. She says she just needs 1 more girl, but hopes t find her soon enough. I agree with her, and tell her we will be there if she needs us. Afterall, that is what sisters are for. We pull up to the busiest block in town. Tyler parks and we all get off. Dallas and Tyler both stop right in front of the newest empty building that just went up for sale. The restaurant that was here was closed after the head chef got a heart attack and passed away. Guess they weren't able to find a replacement chef because they closed down and the space has been empty for a couple of days now. "So, what do you think?" Dallas asks me. "About the empty space?" I ask her and she groans. "Cali, yes, before you say no, because you have always told me no, just know I won't take no for an answer this time." she says. Tyler pulls out a set of keys "You are looking at your new bakery." she says, and he hands me the keys. "What?" I ask, completely shocked. I know I shouldn't be. She always makes comments about getting me a new place so I didn't have to work and struggle to open up my bakery, but I always told her no, that I want to do it on my own and don't want handouts. "I know you always say no, but look at it like this, you always have Austyn and you help me so much, this is just a best sister present." she tells me. I jump up and down. "Dallas, on this busy street. Oh my god sister. You shouldn't have." I shout. "Yes I should have, that is why I did. There's no bakery in town and buying treats from the grocery store are not it, plus you bake better than anyone else I know. Everyone deserves to be able to buy your treats. Right?" she asks Tyler, who nods. "Best damn cakes. We miss them for our birthdays when we are on the road." he says, because like James, I bake my sister's birthday cakes, but with Dallas touring, if she is away during her birthday, then she doesn't get a cake. "Sister, I owe you for life. I will save up and pay you back." I tell her going to the front door and opening it up so I can take a look inside. "No sister, this place is a present. You take care of my daughter, this is nothing compared to that" she says as we walk inside. "lets give the place a walk through so we can know what needs to be done, so you can be ready for the grand opening. I want to do it before I have to leave so any day now actually. Also, what do you want to name it? I need to order the sign for the outside and all of the decor for inside along with booths or tables and chairs. Not sure what kind of bakery you want this to be." she says as Steven Montana walks in. "What is he doing here?" I ask. "He is the contractor." she tells me and although I don't like it because he hurt my sister, I know we are working on a timed schedule so I just shut up and walk around and tell them my vision of the perfect bakery. We agree on the tables and chairs I want and the 2 booths that will be on one side of the bakery and the stoves and island that needs to be added and the kitchen things that I want removed. After about 2 hours, Tyler drives us around to buy decorations since the ones in the catalog were not to my liking. I find a bunch of cute little suns, and take them in different colors and different sizes I plan on sticking these all around the bakery. We then go to a photography studio. I get pictures of my cakes blown up and framed. I will decorate the place with my own work. I also make a book where customers can go through it if they have no idea what they want to order. I also take special requests, so I expect to add to this book quite often. Once the trunk is filled and I think I got everything I need We go drop it off in the office of the bakery. Tyler and Dallas stand outside to wait for me. I take another look around this place and I still can't believe it. This place is all mine. I walk back outside and Tyler is arguing with Beau Miller. My sister's ex and Austyn's father. They are in each other's faces and Tyler pushes Beau. Dallas places her hand on Tyler. "This is what these people do, Ty. He isn't worth it. Let's just go home." she tells him. "What these people do? What is that supposed to mean Dallas? I see nothing has changed with you." He tells Dallas, who ignores him. "Help me Cali" she tells me and, together, we pull Tyler away and shove him into the driver's seat. "F*ck I hate him so much." Tyler says as he slams his fist into the steering wheel. "Calm down Ty, he isn't worth it." Dallas tells him. "I hate that he is Austyn's dad and I hate that he doesn't want her, yet he thinks he can look for you and you will go running to him." he tells Dallas who turns deep red. "He is an !d!ot." I say as my phone rings. "Dad, yes we are on our way back now." I say and hang up and tell them dad has a bbq going on and everyone is waiting for us. We arrive and we find a bunch of grown a$$ men, drunk dancing all over the back yard, some are playing cards and others are by the bar. I find James on the grill. "Hey, guess what?" I ask him "what's up?" he says. I tell him everything that happened today. "Congratulations sunshine, you deserve that and so much more. This town needs your treats. The other spot you had in the mall was too small for your great work. This is amazing." he tells me and I smile. We spend the rest of the day hanging out with family and close friends. My sister's band mates show up and they end up playing music for us until the cops are called and show up to shut our little barbeque turned into a mini concert down. It was fun while it lasted.
