24. His Weakness

“You were born to rule. You are not meant to show weakness. Is that clear, boy?” The voice was terrifyingly cold.   Liam kept turning around and around in his sleep, finding no reprieve of his nightmares, or rather his memories. Soon enough, he woke up with beads of sweat covering his forehead and his night clothes clinging to him. He let out a heavy sigh before trying to dismiss ideas of his late father and resume his sleep. Only the memories wouldn’t let up for some reason.
