Alex gritted his teeth as he slowly glared at her. She quickly looked down in defeat. She knew it would be hard on him.
“What are you talking about? Why won’t I be?” This time, his emotions slipped. Clyde reached out to grab his shoulder. Sab got confused and was unable to react in time. Just like Alex, she couldn’t seem to understand her words.
Alex looked at her with disappointment, seemingly hurt by her betrayal. This is what she’s supposed to tell him and his family? He couldn’t believe it. Tonight was supposed to be a fun event! He’s happy with her and now she’s dropping this on him?
He was understandably upset and angry.
“Get up and come out for a while.” Clyde grabbed him and took him away. His son needed to cool down.
