I sighed, watching Lottie chase after Nicki into the cave, and shook my head with a chuckle. It was strange, knowing that she wasn’t chasing after me anymore. It felt like a weight had been lifted off of my shoulders, and all I could do was laugh. “How are they?” Thais asked. I looked down at her, before sitting down on the log next to her. She scooted to the side to make room, then looped her small hand around my waist and around my back, pulling me close to her. I loved how she was always touching me now, as if she couldn’t get enough, and she didn’t even feel the tingles like werewolves did. She just genuinely liked to touch me, and I had no problem with that in the least.
