They all arrive at Halfton from California at nighttime. And because of jet lag, nobody's that sleepy yet. They all remain on the first floor, their suitcases in the living room, with Kiyana offering to make everyone tea or coffee.
Lily and Dermon immediately begin to take out toys and souvenirs they got from Disneyland. Magnus had absolutely spoiled the two of them. Nearly everything they pointed to, Magnus had bought. Faith and Kiyana told him not to, but Magnus said his heart could not let him say no. Faith said she'd help him learn about the balance between saying yes and no, because while he had the money to get Lily and Dermon nearly whatever they desired, that didn't mean he should.
