Anderson had heard about The Hologram Hotel, which Magnus recently owned back in Dreadus. Magnus had hired people to run things for him in that hotel, so he was not as hands-on about it, but Anderson had been so impressed by the fact that he suggested the View from the Hilltop Hotel as their joint venture.
As the name implied, the hotel was built on a hill, with a magnificent view of the outskirts of Carus City. The whole concept was offering guests a vacation away from home without actually being away from home. But for some reason or another, the hotel itself was only ranked at three stars. Magnus had met with the owner about a month ago, and not only had the man been eager to sell it, he was happy to sell it to Magnus.
