After Faith made sure she looked presentable again (to Magnus' amusement), they made their way to the auction, a man with an earpiece guiding them towards the back of the room. Justin and Piolo were sitting down and drinking at a round table, the two of them raising their brows at Faith and Magnus' arrival.
Their late appearance did not go unnoticed by other people either. Faith caught a woman in a peach dress who looked to be around the same age openly sneering at Faith as Magnus' hand settled on Faith's waist, steering her to their seats.
Faith did not hesitate to return the woman's rude stare. Whoever she was, she had been among the crowd of people vying for Magnus' attention earlier, before the Head Alpha had spotted Faith.
