Chapter 18: The Betrayal
Abdel ibn Zaid, lone survivor of the rimahniya assassins sworn to the destruction of Prince Ahmad, left Attan when the attack on the prince there failed. The prophet Muhmad had told him the prince’s itinerary, and he knew Ahmad and his party must proceed to Mount Denavan on the final leg of their journey. There, in the land sacred to Rimahn himself, would the assassin complete his mission and destroy this accursed prince once and for all.
