Chapter Twenty One (Adrian’s POV) Blackwood Estate was too quiet when I walked in. Mother stood in the sitting room with her arms folded, her expression cold enough to cut. Father sat near the fireplace, silent. Tessa stood by the window, her face flushed with anger. Grandmother Anna sat near the tea table, watching me with tired eyes. Mother looked behind me.
